Terms of Service

1. Overview

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Reflexion app (“the App”), developed and operated by Michelle Han (“the Developer”). By downloading, accessing, or using Reflexion, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Reflexion. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.

4. User Content

All content you create in Reflexion, including text, audio, video, and artwork (“User Content”), remains your property. You grant the Developer a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to store encrypted copies of your data solely to provide the App’s functionality.

You are solely responsible for your content and agree not to upload material that is illegal, abusive, or infringes upon others’ rights.

Reflexion respects user privacy and encrypts all journal content locally before upload using AES-256-GCM encryption. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

The Reflexion name, logo, interface design, and software code are the intellectual property of Michelle Han. Users may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without prior written permission.

8. Termination

The Developer may suspend or terminate access to Reflexion at any time for violation of these Terms or misuse of the App. Users may delete their accounts at any time using the in-app option or by contacting info@reflexionjournals.com.

9. Disclaimers

Reflexion is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind. The Developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Reflexion is a journaling and self-reflection tool and is not a substitute for professional therapy or medical advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Michelle Han shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use Reflexion. Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) to access the App.

11. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically to reflect feature changes or legal updates. Continued use of the App after modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The effective date will be updated accordingly.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts of Sacramento County, California.
